Porsche History Porsche, shortened for Dr.-Ing. hc F. Porsche AG  is an automobile based out of Germany and was founded by Ferdinand Porsche in 1931. Initially, the company's main line of business was offering consulting services in automobile sector. The company later on also started working on developing motor vehicles and one of their earlier project was with German government to design a car. The objective was to develop car for people to travel from one place to another convenient and this led to development of Volkswagen. The company developed  Volkswagen Beetle, which became a huge success among the masses. 1939 became the year when first Porsche car came into existence and it was Porsche 64.
